add iteration doesn't give comment #119

when I create a iteration that isn't valid I don't get a feedback.

This is the same issue as #29

since this is the same as #29, why is @gdmodica assigned to that one and @jlmegin assigned to this one. one of them should be closed.

I was working on that, but couldnt figure out how to get it working because of a logic error. It would simply return an error every time. Check out the dev-feature-iterationmessages branch for my attempted fixes.

sorry @jpalnick and @gdmodica I didn't realize that someone was assagined to #29 already. I have fixed this issue and pushed it to dev
