Hard to tell when you've died #2

I think it would be nice to get some sort of notification when you died. The game resets so quickly and the obstacles disappear the same way as when you shoot them, so it can be hard to tell if I died or I just shot the obstacle. Perhaps the lives and score display could be bigger too so that I can tell if I died or not without taking my eyes off the obstacles.
