Grails 1.2? #1

This is an incredibly useful project, but the aspects do not appear to be 
invoked under Grails 1.2 and I'm at a loss as to why...

I have done the obvious (ie "grails upgrade"), but am at a loss as to why 
things have stopped working in Grails 1.2 - I've tried the code under 
Grails 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, both of which work fine.

I've also checked the Release Notes for Grails 1.2, which indicate an 
upgrade to Spring 3.0, as well as support for annotation prototypes, so I'm 
guessing that something fundamental has changed, but I'm not sure what.

I'm also no expert at Spring AOP (trying to learn, via Grails)

Can anyone suggest things to try or a solution?
