shelly plus2pm in shutter mode loses homekit connection

hej alex!

• only after a clean restart I can control my two shelly plus2pm shutters via homekit.
• shortly therafter I see "No Response" in homekit, and "[Shelly NG] [Rollo Links] Failed to set target position: Invalid password" in homebridge.log (yes, I've gota authentication pwd set)
• via the shelly app I see a correct position; and can control them at all times.

Howto debug and resolve this?!

Try running homebridge in debug mode to see if you get any more info in the logs.

Have you tried disabling authentication?

Yeeees, authentication plays a key role! Turned it off in one device and this one stays responsive.

You know already where to look at, or need more Info.log?

without auth the devices stay operational in homekit, yet the actual position is displayed incorrectly.

it's either permanently Opening..., or No Response, or some random value - however any SET command moves to the desired position. The displayed value in the web-UI seems consistent with the value on an apple device though.

Interesting. What firmware version are you using? Have you tried the 0.11.0 beta?

I've got two side by side, one running v0.11.0-beta3 the other v0.10.3 which for this issue makes no difference. however I've left both open, w/o auth now, and it worked ever since in homekit.

I notice the same unresponsive behaviour in two shelly-plus1PM running ß3 disabled the authentication there as well.

but obviously this should not be a permanent solution.

I'm running in a very simliar issue. It works great with Shelly Plus 1 PM and Pro 1 PM. But after ca half a day. I have the same problem. Especially when I move the shutter manually with the button, homekit shows always "opening". Is there any solution?

same issue … i think the main problem is the loss of the current position, although it is shown correctly in the app or web interface

Yes that's true... I think it is the same issue as #24

same here with actual one no responding device (one of 5 shellyplus2pm every time the same device) after a few hours running himebridge.

Also at all devices the async position or command "opening" "closing" I can see

A better title for this issue should be: shelly ng devices (in any more) lose homekit connection when device auth is turned on
