Wrong Shutter status in HomeKt - Shelly 2.5 Roller Shutter #149

Open shaheens12 opened 4 years ago

shaheens12 commented 4 years ago

Hello,

My shutter status in HomeKit is always showing either Opening or Closing when the shutter is already closed or open.

I have 6 shutters, 2 are fine but 4 are having issue with the status. (attached)

How to solve this?

I recently also see this same issue with my marquee on the terrace

@shaheens12 The common problem seams to be multicast. Check if multicast is enabled in the settings of your router and if all the components are connected to the same wifi (preferably 2.4 GHz).

shaheens12 commented 4 years ago

Multicast is enabled in my router and Shelly devices are connected to 2.4 GHz WiFi.

Multicast is enabled in my router and Shelly devices are connected to 2.4 GHz WiFi.

So the devices are in the same network and same SSID as the HomeKit-"Router" (AppleTV, iPad, HomePod)? What kind of Router you have?

shaheens12 commented 4 years ago

Yes all devices connected to the same SSID. My router is TP-Link Deco 9 Plus, and all connected to Apple TV.

This topic is since 2015. My router is a very new model and updated with the latest firmware, also my homebridge is connected via Eathernet cable.

@shaheens12 What firmware version are you running? Seems like something might have changed in version 1.7.0.

shaheens12 commented 4 years ago

Which firmware? For Shelly devices or for homebridge?

I suspect something has changed in the latest Shelly firmware update that is causing this issue. Hopefully I will find the time to debug it soon.

shaheens12 commented 4 years ago

Ah that’s sad. Ok will wait to hear from you.

I experience the exact same thing. Roller shutter is forever showing "Closing...". It's not that the Shelly isn't online. It's just the state that's incorrect.

homebridge-shelly v0.13.0 Shelly firmware 20200601-122849/v1.7.0@d7961837

basroovers commented 4 years ago

Still the same at the latest versions.

Homebridge 1.1.2 homebridge-shelly v0.14.0 Shelly firmware 20200812-091015/v1.8.0@8acf41b0

benji1703 commented 4 years ago

Exactly the same issue, using Google Wifi Mesh (3 units)

Kroellie commented 4 years ago

All latest firmwares, Netgear Orbi billion dollar setup... closing, closing closing... Hope this gets resolved soon.

harryslapalot commented 3 years ago

Same here.... Works like a charm with 1.7.7

vskal commented 3 years ago

I have the same issue. When I select to fully close from Homekit , it only goes own to 54% and still shows closing. There seems to be a problem in receiving the correct state of the relay.
