I opened a feature request in the homebridge shelly plugin (alexryd/homebridge-shelly#267) regarding the implementation of shelly motion sensor.
I implemented these changes in my local installation and with a few additional changes in some homebridge-shelly files I was able to get it working.
So thank you so far - hopefully this will be merged soon.
