Yanleech's patch is amazing. I modify the default action for "/" to make it
search
easier behind <Great><Firewall>.

While accessing via web, it opens searching page by default, and "Search"
button in
searching page or home page now works behind <Great><Firewall>.
This is more convenient for checking public info.

The twitter search is limited : "Uh-oh! You're being rate-limited!", so it
can't be used?

The "limited" should be caused by too many people access twitter via appspot.
This
should base on ip sharing for *.appspot.com, nothing to do with the api code.
Either wait a while to see if you're lucky next, or build the api on a
standalone ip
(if possible).

Sure. This cannot be resolved inside this project, until enough users get
twitter
special attention.
Before the dream occurs(:p), there're 2 other workaround:
1. Use some client app, which seems able to avoid the limitation. Such as
Seemsmic on
android. But I'm not very sure.
2. Find an oversea web hosting and apply some api proxy for yourself. You
should be
able to get a free one by searching some keywords. Send a mail to me if you
feel hard,
I'm glad to assist you on this.
