Not removing adapters properly #51

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. run cutadapt with -a TGGAATTCT -e 2.0 -O 7

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Should remove both TGGAATTCT* and GGAATTCT*.
Removes the former, but not the latter - there are still lots of GGAATTCT* in
there

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

1.1, Scientific Linux

Please provide any additional information below.

Are you sure that is the command-line you were using? "-e 2.0" results in this
message:
cutadapt: error: The maximum error rate must be between 0 and 1.

Please also provide the sequence of a read that wasn't trimmed properly, so I
can reproduce the problem.
