Permission to use code to update official switchbot integration #9

Hello, @alextud,

I would like to get permission to use your code in part or whole to update the official HA switchbot integration. I do not want to upset anyone or not credit the people that worked on this.

Hey Jeremy, you can use this code. In the end is better to have official one that will be better supported in long term.

Hi Alex, Thanks for the code, may I ask a question about, does this plugin supports the docker version of home assistant or not? Do I need to buy a respnerry pi 4, thanks.

I'm running Home Assistant in a docker container, so yes, it should work for you also.

Wow, many thanks for your quick response, but i am so confused as I saw youtube video, switchbot curtain is based on bluetooth connection, if I don't have a bluetooth hassio, how does it connect to the home assistant?

assuming that you have bluetooth hardware on your device ...

Thanks, I think I quite understand that you have connected a device to ha which can discover bluetooth.

is this part of some official integration now? I can't seem to find anything much about it

Hello, curtains have not been added yet. Sadly my free time went away with other matter. The base python library that home assistant uses has been updated for curtains and battery, but the official integration has not been updated.
