Put a background on googlecode? #197

Hello, I trying to use the googlecode setting for a book I am editing about coding with Google Earth Engine. It's a high profile book done with Google's support. We would like our code snippets to be highlighted with a background, and have been using atelier-forest-light to great success. The background is great. Someone recently pointed out that if we use googlecode setting, it matches the code editor we experience when using Earth Engine. But its background is white, and seems the same whether 'No background' is checked or not. Could you please help us to get a theme that has a gray background for googlecode? Not sure I am asking this right, but hopefully you could help me. It's a big deal edited book - 40 chapter, 60 authors. Trying to get the code part, which is so important, to be right. Thanks!

I'm adding a screen capture of my desired change. I posted to highlight.js as suggested, but they said the appearance in CodeBlocks is outside their scope. Hoping you could make this little (I think?) change! Screen Shot 2022-01-25 at 2 01 22 PM

VS, vs2015, xcode, googlecode, neither of them applies the previewed grey background when you format the code with the script. I have to add the grey background manually. Please, update the script so the grey background is properly applied to the table containing the code.
