needs to be updated and malicious software problem #146

I downloaded it but it said that it needed to be updated and that my computer could not check it for malicious Software so I could not download it

Same problem here. MacOS 10.15.7 has a security feature that won't let Mousecape launch. Please fix?? Thank you!

Did you try to right/ctrl-click on the app and select "Open"? You might have to do this twice, but there should appear a dialog in which you can choose to open the application. At least, this has worked for me on macOS 10.15.7.

I can confirm that right/ctrl-click and selecting Open from the. context menu brings up the dialog mentioned by @NordJan and Mousescape will launch, thanks!
