Background

We are looking for Play-to-earn games like Axie Infinity that include Algorand layer-1 features such as Non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Algorand Standard Assets, smart contracts, smart signatures, and atomic transfers.

Prize Bounty

The play-to-earn games category will split the $20,000 USD price among the top three submissions within this category if they meet the submission and quality criteria.

Submissions are evaluated based on their value for the ecosystem and developers. The Algorand team will use the following criteria to evaluate submissions:

Aegir Dungeons is a discord mini-game built around Project Aegir (https://starsightlabs.com/).

The Grocery Store Game utilizes a free-to-play model to build a market economy that connects artists, traders, and collectors on the Algorand blockchain! Core gameplay consists of users collecting grocery themed Algorand Standard Assets (ASAs) and trading them with fellow players for Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)! 4) fraccas has started work.

Fracctal Monsters sets out to be an advanced monster taming game on the Algorand blockchain.

As a monster taming game, you will need to feed and take care of your pet for it to grow and evolve. An unhappy fracctal monster will not grow into its next form.

Planned features include feeding, training, evolution, breeding, battling, trading, and an in-game marketplace.

In this game you buy lemons (fungible tokens) and you exchange them with secret ingredients (stored in the local storage of the user account). Using 10 lemons and up to 4 secret ingredients you squeeze a lemonade. The first 999 squeezes generate recipe NFTs. After that you try to sell your lemonade in your virtual lemonade shop for more lemons. Each ingredient adds a different bonus according to its rarity. 6) valepavo has started work.

AlgoRogue is a 3D RogueLite sidescroller game set in a Dark Fantasy world. It is built on the Algorand blockchain. The game will be playable in app form, launching on PC, Mac, Android, iOS and eventually Web. All in-game items are blockchain based tokens and NFTs. AlgorRogue is massively inspired by Diablo, The Souls Saga, CastleVania, Metroid, Blasphemous and so on... This is a high risk high reward play to earn game, where players will spend many hours grinding the dungeons for loot and rewards that can be crafted, sold and lent to other players. 7) dreitser has started work.

PiXL is the first evolving NFT RPG. It’s a love letter to Algorand - the technology, the artists, the community and the planet. It’s a play-to-earn game that changes every week - accessible to all (with an Entry Coin). 8) tejas-kothari has started work.

Algo Royale is a fully decentralised online casino built on the Algorand blockchain.

One of the biggest issues in the world of online play-to-earn gaming is the lack of transparency. When you spin a roulette wheel or roll a dice virtually, you don't know how that random outcome is generated. How do you know if the game has altered the outcome to put odds in the favour of theirselves.

In order to tackle this issue, we build a decentralised casino on the Algo Royale that runs on smart contracts, which are fair, transparent and immutable. That means you can feel rest assured that every game you play on Also Royale will be a fair game, and you will get the payout you deserve.
