Challenge Description

Great ideas are everywhere, execution is always the hardest part. Greenhouse Hacks wants to give an opportunity to these great ideas to come to life. If you have a project/idea here is your chance to share it with the world.

Share detailed information about your project like tools needed, requirements, estimated time of completion, resources, roadmap, vision, mission, etc. The project can be in DeFi, Gaming, NFT, Music, DAO, Dev Tooling or something brand new.

If you have a project already in the works you may still be able to participate in the BYOP Bounty, but certain conditions apply:

You must share what you had developed pre hackathon
Explain the purpose of bringing the project as BYOP Bounty (what do you want to integrate in the project during the hackathon?)
Judging will be based on the advances made during the hackathon

Submission Requirements

A valid submission will include the source code via a Github repository linked to your Gitcoin submission, a recorded demo and an article that explains how the application works.

It is expected that most bounty challenges will be won by fully functioning submissions, however, in certain cases, where there is a higher degree of difficulty, projects and payouts will be assessed on progress made.

The project submission deadline is 17:00 EST on Monday the 22nd of August.

Judging Criteria

There will be a quadratic community voting element to the judging process that will commence shortly after the project submission deadline; this will close at 17:00 EST on Friday the 26th of August.

Four judges from The Algorand Foundation will also assess each project submission by Friday the 2nd of September. The following criteria will be used to assess projects: IMPACT & USEFULNESS: How impactful and useful the submission is in the Algorand ecosystem as a whole

ORIGINALITY, CREATIVITY & INNOVATION: How new and novel the submission is versus existing technologies
MASS USABILITY: How feasible is the idea & how adaptable is it across other integrations
TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY: What is the level of skill or knowledge required to build the submission
CLARITY: How clear or easily understood the documentation, examples and pitch video is
TEAM DIVERSITY: How diverse are the team’s skill sets & what is the quality of the team formation

Winner Announcement Date

Winners will be announced on Wednesday the 7th of September, with payouts to be completed no more than one week thereafter. Ecosystem Funding may be issued at the discretion of the Algorand Foundation to retrospectively advance high potential projects.

It makes inventory records on the blockchain through its collaborating museums, archaeological sites and cultural heritages, and NFTs, and ensures that all cultural heritage is recorded on the blockchain. Keeping records of museums, archaeological finds and cultural heritage on blockchain will not only prevent theft loss of cultural heritage, but will also ensure the development and diversity of the NFT ecosystem with a different usage area. In addition, another aim of the Museum is to minimize the high energy consumption caused by traditional archiving, document recording and classification, to integrate these methods into the web3 and to create an open source research database. 2) gaupoit has started work.

MetaBio is a Web3 application to connect gardeners, farmers to crypto world. We aim to be the leading Web3 application for gardening/farming communities, inspire gardeners/farmers, and connect them and their data to enterprise and biology experts eventually. Users as farmers could capture the growth of their plants, mint respective NTF(s) and sell on our marketplace. They can also earn some rewards on MetaBio by joining our gamification (namely plant-2-earn) and providing metadata. 3) obiajulum has started work.

QRAlgoNFT is a simple service that allows anyone to own a piece of the unownable, A piece of the Algorand Blockchain. It will enable anyone, anywhere to mint an already existing Algorand block as an ownable and transferrable NFT 😀

Wallet Authentication using a secure cookie. Use a wallet connection to authenticate a user and create a secure cookie. 5) vidhyanandcs has started work.

We are planning to build a decentralized on-chain notification system that will help DEFI and NFT platforms to send on-chain notifications to their users on certain events. Events include but not limited to liquidation warning, NFT offers, DAO governance and voting remainders, on-chain lottery updates etc...

We will build: 1) Smart contracts which contains the logic for sending/storing/receiving notification. 2) JS SDK for integration with Multiple platforms, dApps etc... 3) UI for interacting with the notification smart contract. 6) modus77 has started work.

CRUZO - The first multi-chain Web3 platform for NFT greeting cards, crypto gifts, and Metaverse party goods. Bringing a billion-dollar industry to Blockchain. 7) imfeelingitchy has started work.

AlgoChess is a wagering application built around chess and its variants. A user will interact with the platform in the following manner:

Decide the particulars of the game and pay a wager.
Send a link to a friend that allows them to join the game and pay their side of the wager.
The platform monitors the game and pays out the pot to the winner.

Other relevant features:

The wagers are handled by a smart contract and the outcome of the game is decided by a centralized oracle. This makes the wagering process trustless. Provision to rejoin the game even if users get disconnected while making transactions. Returning of funds to participants even if the centralized oracle, for some reason, fails. 8) palmfinanceio has started work.

Palm Finance is a Web3 Asset Yield Accelerator, and a creative decentralized lending protocol for new assets like NFTs, LP tokens & Interest-bearing tokens, which allows users to borrow at 0% interest. 9) zahracolt has started work.

Solution for tracking pharmecutical authenticity and originality using Algorand Blockchain 10) gregtrifan has started work.

The application lets people trade on the outcomes of events, and follow the odds to garner accurate insights about the future. Users buy or sell Voting Shares, which can be redeemed for 1 unit of the stable asset if the outcome is resolved as correct, and become worthless if it’s incorrect. The core feature of the app is that we protect the owners of outcome shares by keeping the reserves of stable assets, primarily in case of liquidity drain. 11) solving-it has started work.

Inspired by CultDAO which invests in early Token projects, hunterDAO wanna be build a decentralized Venture Capital focus on the early NFT projects, to provide funds to support very potential artists and NFT creators to start their project.

The DAO community determine which NFT project to invest, and all the investment income will return to the community. 13) ikalonji has started work.

I will be working on an implementation of Soulbound tokens for the Algorand Blockchain which makes use of NFT's to provide zero knowledge indentifiers for holders of the NFT. 14) chiscal has started work.

Mint Engine is a comprehensive suite of web3 instruments spread across an ecosystem of distributed ledgers. The goal of Mint Engine is to provide a single access point to multiple distributed ledgers to aid interoperability and ease of use while keeping the experience simple and secure. 15) algotables has started work.

An open source suite of tools designed to make the projects and DApps building on Algorand ($ALGO) more accessible.

Dark Coin is an experimental "grassroots" community project that is working to develop and expand the Algorand ASA defi space. Dark Coin will eventually be managed by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), meaning that the project is collectively owned / managed by its members based on specific rules enforced by the blockchain.

The Dark Coin team is developing a dApp that will be accessed via our website, https://dark-coin.com. Users are currently able to use it to vote on governance proposals, and eventually will be able to send and receive private transactions on the Algorand Network.

Using our governance dApp, the users of our dApp are able to participate in governance and vote on decisions deciding the projects direction/future. Users are able to cast votes and submit proposals using NFT voting tokens.

When finished, governance users will be able to control the creator wallet and liquidity pool by submitting smart contract proposals. If passed by a vote, the smart contract will be executed by the creator wallet. This allows the community to control the supply of voting tokens, the price of tokens, the income earned by the project, and make adjustments to liquidity.

Kalygo is a website for implementing common Real Estate contracts on a blockchain. The escrow logic is enforced peer-2-peer via PyTeal code. The only supported wallet for v1 is AlgoSigner.

AlgoWorld Swapper

Fully open-source swapper that allows for trustless transfers of assets on Algorand blockchain. Powered by next.js, pyteal and vercel functions.

Solution has been developed in 2 month over a period of June to early August 2022.

Original smart contracts were developed in close cooperation with a Solution Architect from Algorand and are open source under MIT at github.com/algoworldnft/algoworld-contracts.

Work done in scope of the hackathon:

Proxy contracts that allow creation of unique escrow addresses used to store base64 encoded links to files on ipfs that contain latest states of user's swaps.
IPFS and on-chain based feature on AlgoWorld Swapper called Public Swaps. Allows users to create smart sig based escrows for swapping ASAs on Algorand and have the listing publicly available on swapper platform. Works in first-come first-served manner analogous to listing something on a public marketplace.
Documentation suite at docs.algoworld.io - currently being further improved by adding more documentation on usage and platform architecture for AlgoWorld Swapper. 20) lorenzopolidori has started work.

Terragrids is a web3 crowd-funding platform for community renewable energy projects.

The online platform is a game built on top of the Algorand blockchain. It runs a small metaverse, where participants can explore, build and develop a sustainable town entirely powered by solar energy.

Players buy and own NFTs to develop the Terragrids world on the virtual map. The revenues from the purchase of each NFT will be administered in the Terragrids treasury Algorand wallet and will directly contribute to the planning and delivery of real community renewable energy projects run in partnership with local NGOs across the globe.

The app allows minting NFTs on Algorand using Reach and pinning metadata and images on IPFS. The NFT trading logic is implemented with Reach contracts that are deployed for each Terragrids NFT. Each NFT trading contract connects to a central stand-alone contract to keep track of global values, such as total numbers of NFT in the trading system.
