I've created a Google+ page for the site. Its not too fancy but will get the job done for now.

I've added the google+ follow button to the about page, It doesn't fix in the top banner

I cant find the section your tute is referring to. See below screenshot.

Looks good where it is. Maybe in the future we can also put a hyperlink on an fb icon to go to our fb page.... Maybe :-)

Ah all it does atm is follow. Yeah we can put a link in somewhere, normally that just goes in the footer
