You guys could also put up a facebook page, and get ppl to write reviews on any reputable online forums if any are out there on child care centers?

the FB page is only about 4 weeks old and we have not yet properly introduced it to our current parents to follow/comment.

We are also paying about $7/day to FB to 'promote' our page in the area.

"The website does not have enough content that is optimised for search engines": Yeah that's what I was getting on before, but how much content can a childcare have. You'd need to have a blog or something. Re content, content also needs to be dynamic and change often to get SEO benefits.
"The website does not target enough keywords": Yeah we had none, I've added the suburb list to the keywords. We can also look at what your competitors have as their keywords and copy them.
"Google Analytics is not properly setup and valuable data is being lost": Not sure what they mean, there are probably additional things we could configure but I think for a site like this what we've setup gives enough visibility for you guys
"The Google Adwords compaign is not properly optimised and is under performing and costing too much": I don't know much about google adwords but can find out, are you guys seeing more traffic from your adds?

So yeah there recommendations are mainly just content and keyword targeting. I don't think is even worth me asking the SEO guy at work. I think that's all that can be done for a small site. We can at least look at your competitors sites and target similar keywords through content, even then not sure if it's worth your effort in blogging something.

User generated content is normally a better way to go, e.g. have users generate the content for your through adding comments etc but that doesn't work for this site. Maybe blog entry per week would be good with just a summary of new things happening, some notes about what the kids learnt or something interesting that happened.

I think we've either implemented or have discussed what they've put in their proposal. Don't pay someone for this!
