I have the username and password placeholders set, but the next step is to add some sort of verification system that actually checks the credentials.
Take a look at django api, or if that's too complicated see what other systems can be used.
Once that's done, on the home page, instead of saying "Welcome Alistair", it should say "Welcome" and the username.
