Capture or charm the eight snakes in the shopkeeper’s store

Shopkeeper: Help me please! The evil wizard has booby-trapped my shop with venomous snakes! Katana: How can I stop them? Shopkeeper: The only way to get past them is to charm them. Katana: Charm them? Hmm…

**Katana can enter only when she has taken the pungi from the minstrel. If she has the pungi and chooses to use it: Katana: Maybe this pungi can charm the snakes. (Katana plays the “flute” and the snakes stop moving Grand Guru: Great thinking, Katana! Katana moves on to the shopkeeper

**If she has not yet taken the pungi from the minstrel: Katana: I wonder how snakes are charmed. I will be back!

Per snake captured: +3 strength points When “bitten” by snake: -3 strength points But if Katana charms the snake: +15 wisdom points, +10 strength points

Once she finishes with the snakes, she can proceed to talk to the scared shopkeeper hiding behind the counter
