There are a few things to consider when taking images for photogrammetry. In your case:
Have a look at this paper: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/264810260_Photogrammetry_in_Paleontology_-_a_Practical_Guide Similar issue: https://github.com/alicevision/meshroom/issues/536
Problem: There are other problems with my scan of this object but the problem I can not figure out how to solve is how to include the bottom of the object.
ScreenShot: Rather than including screenshots, I have included my MeshRoom file and photos
Dataset: it say a few photos. Well I guess 58 'could' be a few.
Log: Not Applicable - no errors
Desktop:
Since I can not seem to get the bottom of this fossil in the model, I apparently am misunderstanding how to photograph this object or how to set up MeshRoom for this application. Rather than flailing around for another few hours, I am seeking advice. Perhaps by looking at my photo set, you can tell me what I am doing wrong.
I have to rescan this fossil anyway. There are some spots that my photos did not capture due to the rough geometry. I would like to solve the bottom problem before I photograph the fossil again.
