50% of photos not added, identical view IDs. #790

Not sure why this is happening, I have 423 photos, 229 are added if I drag and drop.

Displaying View IDs shows that many have the same view ID, the photos are all different, different files names, sizes etc.

How is the view ID generated? Why would they have identical view IDs? Is there any way to reset them or alter them?

(Meshroom 2019.2.0, Ubuntu 18.04.5)

They were exported from lightroom, now i can see that it's more or less every second photo getting given the same ID as the preceding one. Is view ID generated from the file creation time or something? I manually added from two separate exports but would love to know what the issue is.

The UID is based on the metadata. If there is no metadata it falls back to images file paths.
