Buttons never seem to enable #45

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start application
2. Wait for GPS to get a fix
3. See that buttons are still disabled

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect the buttons to enable when the GPS gets a fix, but they don't.

What version of the product are you using (See "About" screen)?

0.4.2

Make/model of your device, and Android version?

Nexus One running Android 2.2 (but 2.1 was the same)

Just to be sure - does your GPS work in other programs, Google maps etc?

Yes, the GPS works fine with maps and other apps. I have the "GPS Status" app
installed and that shows it getting a lock.

What I see in osmtracker is that it starts with the GPS indicator flashing in
the status bar, and no green bars lit in osmtracker. Then after a short while
the indicator stops flashing and I have green bars lit and an accuracy shown in
osmtracker but the buttons stay greyed out and I can't press them.

Right now I have an accuracy of 8m (indoors) and four bars but still I can't
select anything.

I have exactly the same symptoms (same version, and my GPS also works in other
apps) with an ADP1 (i.e. unlocked G1) and android 1.6

Just a small stupid check... You did start tracking (from the menu) before
trying the touch buttons, right?

No, because I didn't realise I had to... And yes, doing that does make it work
;-)
