Program stays alive when exited via the 'back' button #50

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. On the HTC Hero with Android 1.5 and 2.1, the app keeps running even when it
is not tracking. There is an icon in the titlebar; when dragged down this reads
'OSMtracker is still running'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I want it to exit on the 'back' button, like all other applications.

What version of the product are you using (See "About" screen)?
Latest.

Make/model of your device, and Android version?
See above.

Please provide any additional information below.

Unfortunately apps doesn't really "exit" when you hit back on Android, however
this icon shouldn't appear if you have previously stopped tracking using the
menu button.

Can you try to click on this icon, make osmtracker open and click on "menu" ?
Is the button "start tracking" or "stop and save" ? It should be stop and save,
and if you save then hit back the icon shouldn't appear again.

If you change to the desktop while tracking, the icon appears. If you then
return to the application, stop tracking and quit the app, the icon is still
there, but I presume that this is the icon from the previous switch. The
notification icon should probably be reset when you return to the app.

This should be fixed because of a rewrite of the notification system in rev#258
and will be available with the next release.
