Avatarify Camera still present even after deleting Avatarify #394

For some reason, even after deleting Avatarify, the virtual camera still shows up as Avatarify Camera. I am not even able to find any Avatarify files in Windows, how can I remove it from my list of cameras?

Are you referring to the python version of Avatarify (which you install and start by running .bat scripts) or the Windows app version?

Unfortunately I can't answer your question since I don't have Windows, but I have a vague memory of someone else having a similar problem

@JohanAR iirc, i installed both as i was trying to troubleshoot some stuff

374 was the issue I was thinking of, but unfortunately no solution has been presented

Finally found the culprit.. In regedit, find Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{860BB310-5D01-11d0-BD3B-00A0C911CE86} Below it, there is a folder Instance and that contains an entry for the avatarify camera. Remove it and it will no longer be displayed in Teams or other apps listing you virtual cameras.
