That could happen if avatarify can't detect where the mouth on the image, which seems logical if it's obscured by a beard. I've also seen similar issues when using some cartoon images, and/or faces with tattoos.
A possible solution to this would be if someone were to create an editor that allowed the user move the facial landmarks to match the image, and use that instead of the automatic face detection. It would be a pretty big task, and nobody is working with developing avatarify-python currently so it's not going to happen unless a user contributes it by submitting a PR.

It's going to be slow
It's very hard for model to open its mouth especially if the avatar has beards, please can they be an update to this
