As this project is mostly retired, are there any alternatives out there ( linux compatible, server/client, open source , not commercial or freemium )

This project is retired and has not been updated to long . Most model and dependency dosent fit in right to your system update. But i can help you get avatarify installation working right , you can follow my easy step by step guild on youtube from

Ill give that a peek, thanks. i didn't look yet and you might have done it this way too, but I was considering building a VM using an OS that was 'current' at time of its retirement, should run then. Only bad part is it would effect what would run as a client that accesses the 'virtual camera'

Still wondering if there is something current out there tho. Doesn't seem to be other than commercial, which is a shame. This was cool.
