Definitely! I think it would be ideal to finalize a couple things first with regard to the standard, but then I think it would be a great idea

Oh wait, spoke too soon - looks like the package on PyPi doesn't actually contain anything? Like, when I install it and try to use it, none of the functions are there.

Just pushed a release, installed it from pypi, and confirmed it actually has ~~ content ~~
Would there be any interest in publishing this software via pypi?
