With my data I would only know when the trains are at certain signals. I do not know if there is a database/map information on where these signals are.

Maybe on https://www.openrailwaymap.org/? But I remember trying to look for this data ("what signal is in this geographic location"), and the advice I received was "go outside and look" or "take a train and look on the way past".
