"your device cannot support required GLES configuration" (WM8650 7" Android 2.2) #404

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I deleted from Menu of "EbookDroid" a cbr comic book "The Walking Dead"
2.There was some kind of error
3.When I tried to load other book (all format: chm, pdf, djvu, cbr, etc.) I 
have an error - "your device cannot support required GLES configuration"

What is the expected output?
I wanted to read an e-book

What do you see instead?
A black screen with this error and sometimes is trying to load all pages of a 
book (listing the quantity of pages), but still black. Bellow the message a 
button - Close
In the "shelf" Menu, after trying to open any book, appear a little preview 
picture as normally

What version of the product are you using?
the latest updated, I tried a previous (I don't know which version, if I'm not 
wrong two versions ago) it was working very well!

On what operating system?
Android 2.2 

What device are you using?
WM8650 7 inch MID

Please provide any additional information below.
256MB RAM, 2GB ROM, 2 point touch resistive screen.

I liked very much EbookDroid, but now I need to use other DjVu apps - 
DjvuDroid, PDF Reader and VuDroid(is the slowest from all!) :( 
I will try the newest version of EbookDroid on ther Android devices (W007 and 
JXD S601) and then I will post.
I hope you will help me to fix that problem.

on version 1.5.6 or less works
on 1.6.2 (1.6.3) this error

У вас проблема с текущей прошивкой: либо 
устройство совсем не поддерживает OpenGL, 
либо прошивка очень криво собрана (судя по 
-eng - это инженерная сборка, не 
предназначенная для конечных 
пользователей).

Она на оф сайте лежала как релиз, поставил...
Буду перепрошивать обратно на Android 2.1

2.1 вам не поможет. Новые версии EBookDroid 
требуют наличия Android 2.2 + OpenGL ES 1.1

В принципе требование OpenGL ES 1.1 должно 
выполняться на всех девайсах без 
исключения -это обязательное требование 
андроида к аппаратной платформе, но 
китайцы такие китайцы...

Android 2.2.1
loaded /system/lib/egl/libGLES_android.so (присутствует, 
означает ли наличие OpenGL?)
Теперь перестала работать и версия 1.5.6, 
правда выводимая ошибка остановки 
приложения...

Передайте спасибо фирме векслер, которая 
ставит EBookDroid в прошивку не в 
пользовательские приложения, а в 
системные. Бороться с ними мы на эту тему 
устали - прошивку им собирают анонимные 
китайцы, которым на это вообще плевать. В 
результате нормально обновить версию не 
получится. Поскольку прошивка у вас 
инженерная и рутованная, возмите root uninstaller 
или titanium backup, вычистите хвосты 
предынсталлированного ebookdroid и после этого 
попробуйте поставить 1.5.6

Если я правильно понял на данный момент 
EBookDroid требует Android 2.2+, тем самым смысла 
переходить на 2.3 нет. Все верно?
завтра отпишусь по результатам, спасибо за 
терпение!

Набрал инфу:
1. grafvarg (вырезать вшитый EBookDroid не получиться)
2. Root отсутствует
Итог: Android 2.3 с EBookDroid'ом 1.5.6 видимо край для 
моей модели (новых прошивок не ждать)

У меня та-же проблема, только обнаружил, что 
версия EBookDroid 1.6.1-dev revision 1978 работает, а вот 
уже версия EBookDroid 1.6.1-dev revision 1985 уже не 
работает, может автор все-таки исправит эту 
ошибку, по-возможности.

нет, у меня китаец на mtk6516 star a1000, просто я 
так понял после внесения изменений в revision 
1985, в котором что-то подкрутили с выбором 
конфигурации GL и у меня сообщает ту же 
ошибку о отсутствии поддержки 
соответствующей конфигурации, хотя до 
этого же все работало, и я так понимаю на 
уже новом механизме рендеринга, он ведь уже 
в 1.6.0 и 1.6.1 1978 точно работает?

Вот два лога работающее приложение( revision 
1978) и с ошибкой(revision 1985)

Ваши дрова не поддерживают стенсил буфер - 
соответственно не будет работать 
клиппирование при отрисовке.

К сожалению конфигурации без 
стенсил-буффера не поддерживаются. 
Пользуйтесь старой версией.
