the pictures keep disappearing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to add image
2. images do not appear next to filenames (*.png name shows but the thumbnail 
image does not)
3. if an image is selected it does not place anything on the comic

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see a image to place but do not

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
unsure of version but is current one, and on android.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have this reported by other people, but not sure what causes it as could not 
yet reproduce it.
Please feel free to add any detail that you think might be relevant (phone 
type, exact android version, etc). Thanks.
