I started a prototype website for Alire: here

Let use this issue to discuss the content that you would like to see on this website and comments on the current prototype.

So far there is:

• A front page with not enough information
• A page that lists all the crates
• A page for each crate with the info available in the manifets

There are several items that we found useful at AdaCore for Alire’s website:

• nicely inform newcomers about what this is about
• give a short tutorial on how to use it
• give a short tutorial on how to contribute packages
• explain how to contribute, and in general, list communication channels
• provide a simple search engine for the packages database
• display information about the packages (authors, license, sources, dependencies, doc link, etc.)
• publish the complete documentations for ALR as a tool and the package description format
