Modify 'More from ALA' to display single content stream #328

We’re looking to modify the 'More from ALA' area on the Home page (and eventually on the rest of the site, if it takes more work) to work with the new 1-content type world.

We'll need to:

  1. Remove Blog and Column labels from this area.
  2. Remove differences between Blog and Column (aka remove Column title and avatar).
  3. Modify logic to simply display latest content from everywhere (especially for the interim time period when things still live in blog and column, since we’re only modifying future content).
  4. Switch to mini-decks for these descriptions, so their word length is more consistent.
  5. Add 2nd row of 3-4 content pieces to this area on the Home page. We think the Home page feels lonely with 1 featured article and 3 other recent content pieces. We’ll experiment with whether the ads should remain a whole column on both rows or just the top row. If the 2nd row doesn’t work, we’ll leave the current layout as-is.

Now that the css is updated on Dev, 'More from ALA' looks great with 6 items. The ads shift nicely to the middle of the pack in smaller screens -- nice job!

As per Slack, to minimize time waste:

  1. Michelle will move author name and date below title, more like the summaries on /articles.
  2. Michelle will ping Caren, Mica, and Jeffrey when the new layout is ready for viewing.
  3. If Caren, Mica, and Jeffrey like the new one, great. Otherwise, we’ll stick with the current layout.

It's easy to get distracted by new design options here; our goal is to keep this process lean as an interim stage before the overall design of the new home page changes.
