Login is broken (AJAX call end in Error 500) #418

While trying to reset and reuse my login (which I apparently set up somewhat around 2014) I could indeed reset and change my password, but not do the actual login.

Firebug / Developer Tools show that the login returns a Server Error 500. Also, these calls are going out via unencrypted "http" connections - see the following screenshot:

Thus, commenting is NOT possible. If that was intentional, why not simply TELL US SO? Which would be what one would actually expect from a site thats all talk about usability and accessibility for the last 10 years or so.

If not, then please fix this issue ASAP. Enforcing SSL is a rather easy feat to do (aside of the fact that its window dressing).

Hi, thank you for your feedback; we are sorry for the inconvenience you experienced while trying to login. Commenting IS possible, it's most likely you hit server downtime. We are in the process of migrating data & servers, trying to fix different issues, we'll keep you posted!
