Is not necessary and is also illegal in PHP 7 causing a Compile Error

Bleh, I think the line endings changed in my branch. I'll try and correct that...

These changes are not required anymore - another pull request has just been merged in. I'll close this for now. It's a bit late, but thank you for taking the time to submit this :)
