The addition of report_single_scalar is a very welcome addition - thank you!
The default orientation for the table is a bit uncomfortable though - I believe it should either be toggleable or vertical (by default if toggleable, or just vertical).
While we no longer live in the days where e.g. 80 characters in an IDE is an issue, the horizontal space is still limited wrt tables, and it's easier to scroll up-down vs left-right.
As an example case, here's what my Summary table looks like now (notice the horizontal scrollbar (!) and I have an ultrawide screen):
