Notes: Updating to expo 52 had to run some prebuild to get it to work. Initially accidentally committed android and ios folders to repo which made the builds fail. Added to gitignore and deleted folders.
Left in some commented out code in the app.json because I will have to update it eventually even if I can't get it to work right now. It does seem like there are still some outstandingissues in 52.
