Not displaying the date... #1

Hi!

I can't find where your app is showing the date. It looks like it doesn't work. Can you fix it?

I can get back Wednesday to check again...

Bye!

Thank you for your kind note yesterday.  I can't believe it.  You were kind, but I think my grade is tanked because of this, I know most people like to do their assignments early and those that don't will know that I republished after the deadline.  Oh well, maybe they'll be kind when they grade my presentation, but I never did get the logo to render -- I only need 70% overall to pass, right?  I should have known better to take a course at the end of the quarter, but it's the last one, and I wanted to take the project in October. I worked all last week on this, finally got the rcode fixed, worked 3 more days on the rshiny, had it working on my desktop on Saturday, spent most of the day Sunday trying to get the rpresentation right (unsuccessfully), then posted the wrong files anyway. The app is working now (or was the last time I checked).  Thank you again...Julie

hehehe!

Same reasons here so thats why I could not simply grade you bad!

Yes, you need only 70%... :)

But don't worry, I don't know if everybody will evaluate your work and look for your submission date...

Leave me a note after the deadline to tell me how you did...

YOU SAVED MY GRADE!  I couldn't believe it when I logged in tonight & saw a score of 13!  This not only allowed me to pass, but I get the "with distinction" as well.  On to the final project then.  Fábio, thank you so much for your kindness and understanding. I made a few formatting changes on the app, but didn't want to push my luck by publishing before the deadline.  If you're curious, here's the link: https://alljoy1.shinyapps.io/PhasedLoonacy  (I initially called it Phased Loonacy, but changed it to fazed lunacy in case non-English speakers wouldn't get the reference).  Here's the responses I received (obviously peer 4 graded before I reposted with the fix, I'm glad 5 people graded the assignment -- peer 3 was the response I was hoping for when I made my presentation): peer 1 → Okay effort, but there is something wrong in your ui.R coding. The app shows up with everything in the sidebar (i.e., there aren't two 'columns' on the page), which requires the user to keep scrolling down to see everything. Also, the month slider has no margin on the left-side of the page, which makes it hard to see/use.peer 2 → There are no documentation for your application on shinyapps.io 1peer 3 → Great idea! It was the funniest that I saw in this course!!! :)peer 4 → With the shiny site alone it was hard for me to understand how to use it. Other than the slide bar which seems to show the month of the year i've selected, I could not see anything in the results area. Or did I mis-understand something??peer 5 → Very cool idea. I enjoyed the creativity. I like that you even threw in a title graphic. The app is a little tall. I can't see most of what is changing. Could you use the sidebars to better effect?
