I am not sure if this is a good idea, especially not disabling the blocklist by default. Do you remember the web of trust addon spying on thousands of people? Without such a blocklist mozilla you may not notice it and keep using some malware addon which is delisted on addons.mozilla.org for a good reason.
I may still consider it as default off option with a warning next to it.
Okay, that's a good idea. But I also refuse it to allow Mozilla to remove something remotely from my "computer".
I think I will merge it later adding it with a similar warning as the "do not search for updates" switch has to the security group.
The extension blocklist can use Mozilla to disable individual add-ons in the browser. It is practically a kill switch for Firefox add-ons and plug-ins. Updating the block list transfers detailed information about the real browser and operating system to Mozilla.
