Another elegant way to use the prefs.js file created and saved with FFprofilemaker is this:

PS: I will happily help improving the English text on the ffprofile website as requested. But it would take me a lot of time to follow the instructions under #75, in fact more time then to just re-write the text. Would you like me to write old and new text side-by-side into a spread-sheet ? PPS: most of the text is fine, just a few little wordings here and there ;)

Just (re-)write the text and put it into a comment, I will format it with the needed HTML.

Prefs.js vs. User.js is not that clear, because user.js means you cannot change it back without removing user.js. The same applies for lockprefs.js. I think I just provide two download buttons (and need to think about the zip download). So you can include something like "download user.js if you only want to add the options to an existing profile and prefs.js for a new one" and I will add the corresponding buttons.
