It's by Rich Harris, and thus shares many of the libraries that we already use, making it a much lighter weight option. It also claims to be faster than UglifyJS.

The downsides are:

not as battle-tested
not as configurable

Side note: Cherow has plans for a minifier. We'll keep an eye on that, too.
