Nice idea, but not working for me. In the browser's console I can find this message:

Prevented navigation to “vnd.libreoffice.command:ofe|u|https://.../remote.php/webdav/...?downloadStartSecret=...” due to an unknown protocol.

Apparently I need to register this protocol somewhere somehow...

Tried Firefox and Edge Chromium on Win10 (company pc, maybe blocked by group policies) and Firefox on Linux. All with the same message.

Windows should work if you have a recent LibreOffice installed. On Linux, the desktop files were missing the URL handlers. That should be working with the upcoming 7.2 release.

Which LO version were you using on Windows?

OK, Windows was just my second test. I don't use LibreOffice on this device. If the URL handler will be installed with LO 7.2 then it's clear why it's also not working there. I expected a dialog asking for the right app to open this file.

Hey, I'm having excalty the same issue: Firefox version: 102.8.0esr (64-bit)

i've just installed the debs package from the website after doing a apt-get remove libreoffice* to remove previous version. Still the URL handler have not been installed.

Ah, you installed the version from libreoffice.org? Then it's /opt/libreoffice7.5/share/xdg/startcenter.desktop (I just downloaded the 7.5 from libreoffice.org and it works for me :man_shrugging: )

Hm the vnd.libreoffice.command handler is there which Firefox claims it does not find. Not sure what would cause this. The .desktop file is properly registered (you can find the LibreOffice Start center in the app menu)?

I still have the same problem. Firefox (latest version) Console on Win11 spits out following message:

⚠️ Aufruf von "nc://open/..." aufgrund eines unbekannten Protokolls verhindert

Any ideas how to solve this problem?
