Is there a Transifex? I don't know how to translate it :(

almindor commented 9 years ago

Hey, no. I don't even know what a transifex is but maybe we can work something out. Can you send me more info?

TylerTemp commented 9 years ago

Transifex(wiki) is a translation solution that make program translated into other language easliy

I try to translate this project into Chinese but, I don't see a language file. Are all strings hard-coded? Is there any way I can help translation?

And thx for this project, so helpful:-)

@almindor: Transifex is a propietary solution for developing translations for products (including software). It offers freeware accounts for open source projects.

They offer a variety of formats in which translations can be exported, so they can be integrated into software products.

I'm a bit busy right now but I'll have a look when I can and see if I can move the strings out to a translation module so you could translate them :)

Thanks,

Ales

I'll jump in with the es-AR translation if you like. I use all my software in english, but since I'm from Argentina and have lived here most of my life, I'm pretty sure it's not much of an effort.

I think you need to invite me, right? My username is hobarrera.

Thanks.

Some strings need a bit of meta-information (I believe you can add instrucitons/comments or something).

For example, what does a particular instance of "unknown" refer to? If it refers to battery life, I need to use the female conjugation, if it applies to memory usage it's masculine - yes, I know that makes no sense in english, but in some languages like spanish or german this is so (and this derives from latin, AFAIK).

almindor commented 9 years ago

Right, I'll do that alongside adding language specific files that are missing. It should be there by tomorrow this time.
