Current Understanding

• Herman's orientation describes the degree of misorientation from a reference vector.
• In the Dependence of mechanical properties on crystal orientation of semi-crystalline polyethylene structures, the Herman distance this was chosen locally as the chain vector within each spatial cell.

  Remaining Questions

• What is the importance of Herman's orientation in PSP linkages for semi-crystalline PE structures?
• What is the best way to calculate Herman's orientation for MD datasets?
• What is the certainty in the chosen reference direction?
