AFAI understand I need to have vdsm installed, right?
At first it failed because of missing USE-flag "python" for libvirt ... that flag isn't there anymore for recent versions of libvirt ... removed dep from ebuild.
2nd: vdsm needs dev-python/cpopen which is not in portage and not in your overlay.
