Tutor profile url - currently shows tutor email address (as this is now their username) however we need to change this to be the users first name and first letter of second name

do we allow duplicates in username? why use username at all and not email?

We are now using the email address as the username. That's the issue. That is why the url created for each profile now uses the email address in it.
