Suggestion: Easier Mass Editing by Selecting All Results in Search #35

Currently, when you select the top checkbox, it will select all contact or company results from the search, that are on the first page - which is limited to, at most 100 results.

Applying a single change to ALL results, could take forever. For instance, since we could not import the Subscribed to Electronic Communication field, we want to mass edit it. It could also be used for mass re-assigning accounts to a new sales rep, who is 1) an addition, not replacing any existing rep; or 2) acting as a trainee for a soon-to-leave/retire rep who may be taking on some, or all of their accounts. When you have 83 pages of results at 100 results per page, those tasks could take a few hours.

Gmail has done a great job of getting around this problem, by offering a little notification upon selection of all fields on the page using the top checkbox, to select all search results. If you choose to select them all, you will not see them all on the screen, but Gmail will preform you action to all of them. Adding this type of mass edit tool would be a great productivity enhancement, but maybe should have a pop up confirm, warming that you are going to make this change to 83 pages of results (lets say 8254 results) - something like "You have selected 8254 records to be changed. This action cannot be undone. Click okay to preform this replacement, or cancel to change your search.
