What

Review if/how teams at GDS extend our JavaScript components. We're especially interested in:

what actions they take (eg. add extra listeners on component elements, try to update the component after it's been initialised...)
what they're trying to achieve doing it

Why

This would highlight what these forks need from us in terms of public API.
