2 years ago We do have the budget for this work and the contract is already set up with a recruitment agency but it does expire in January (we have asked for an extension). You will need to speak to others in GAAP to check the balance, as it's a shared budget.
I reached out to the recruitment agency and they said it would be tricky finding people who code and who register access needs. They do have a pool of people who said they can code and they can reach out to them to ask about access needs (this would be charged).
We also have a GAAP research panel. We don't know if anyone on there has any access needs or if they use the kit, so we would need to ask.
What
We want to reach out to people with dev experience, who also have access needs, in order to test the accessibility of our product.
Rosie did an initial investigation for budget and whether the recruitment agency can help us in this area. At the time, we didn't have much luck with the agency, we still want to look into this further. The Design System team is doing accessibility research for Hide this Page component, we should see if they have any advice on recruiting research participants.
We want to recruit users with access need with some coding experience.
