Project board - https://github.com/alphagov/verify-local-patterns/projects/1 ||||| This is a prototype of some content that will be included in the GOV.UK Service Toolkit about the best practice for councils to deliver two services - parking permits and concessionary travel. The repo also includes a working prototype of both services which follows the guidance, as delivered by the fictional council of Argleton.

Completion page for pay by cash route #687

Open lizziebruce opened 6 years ago

The pay for cash route needs to have clearer instructions on how to do this.

Would be good to get someone from Sunderland to explain what happens here, and @lizziebruce to help write soe content for it.

lizziebruce commented 6 years ago

@EUzkuraityte please could you ask someone from Sunderland to explain what happens?

EUzkuraityte commented 6 years ago

Sure, @GWSunderland please could you provide @lizziebruce and @sanjaypoyzer with information relating to what happens if a user chooses to pay by cash?

GWSunderland commented 6 years ago

For customers who want to pay for their parking permit by cash, we ask them to visit our main customer service centre. We ask them to take their reference with them (but we can still search for the record if they forget the reference). Once the payment is made, the cashier updates the service request and this sends the permit request to the bulk print queue and this is printed and posted to the customers home address.

Thanks, Gary! @lizziebruce let us know if this is enough for you to get started or if you need anything further

@EUzkuraityte @GWSunderland @sanjaypoyzer Here's my suggestion. The first 2 sections from the prototype application complete page would be replaced with:

What to do next

You’ll need: your reference number and £X cash to pay for your permit(s).

  1. Go to our main customer service centre:

    31 Fawcett St Sunderland SR1 1RE

    Map

  2. When you’ve made your payment, we’ll update your application.

  3. Your permit will be sent to your address:

Jane Smith 30 Thornhill Gardens Argleton SR2 7LE

    Provide a different address

This is outstanding but we are going to create this page

@GWSunderland @EUzkuraityte Thanks. @sanjaypoyzer Please could you take a quick look at ^^^ to check you're happy from service design POV.
