I have moved the refactorandcomment branch towards single folders for plugins. The idea being that it's easier to document and understand existing plugins and to develop and try out new ones if they're monolithic. Thinking along the lines of vim-pathogen organization for bundles. We can discuss whether to merge into master when it looks tidy, etc.
Generally, I think removing some clutter and packaging things up a bit will go a long way to making the code more accessible for possible contributors.
