Where you will find MP imperatives is especially with deponent verbs or with verbs that commonly occur in the middle, like χράω>χράομαι, where the middle is so common as to get its own entry in the morphological lookup tool. Issue alpheios-project/alpheios-core#69 was ὁράω, which is used in active and passive, but only rarely in the middle [the TLG says it is used sometimes in poetry for the active, but in prose only in certain compounds: “Med. is used by Poets like Act., Il.13.99<javascript:%20void%200;>, A.Pers.179<javascript:%20void%200;>, Ch.407<javascript:%20void%200;> (lyr.), S.Ant.594<javascript:%20void%200;> (lyr.), Tr.306<javascript:%20void%200;>, Cratin.138<javascript:%20void%200;>, etc., v. supr. II.1 b, c: but in Prose Med. occurs only in compds., as προ-ορῶμαι: for the imper. ἰδοῦ, ἰδού, v. ἰδοῦ<javascript:%20ref_handler(51345);%20void%200;>.”
For possible inflections of χρῶ, I got: χράομαι (Aër): pres imperat mp 2nd sg (ionic) χράομαι (Aër): imperf ind mp 2nd sg (ionic) χράω 1 (fall upon, attack, assail): pres imperat mp 2nd sg χράω 1 (fall upon, attack, assail): pres subj act 1st sg (attic epic ionic) χράω 1 (fall upon, attack, assail): pres ind act 1st sg (attic epic ionic) χράω 1 (fall upon, attack, assail): imperf ind mp 2nd sg (homeric ionic) χράω 2 (proclaim): pres subj act 1st sg (attic epic ionic) χράω 2 (proclaim): pres ind act 1st sg (attic epic ionic) χράω 2 (proclaim): pres subj act 1st sg (attic epic doric ionic) χράω 2 (proclaim): pres ind act 1st sg (attic epic doric ionic) χραύω (scrape, graze, wound slightly): pres imperat mp 2nd sg χραύω (scrape, graze, wound slightly): pres subj act 1st sg (attic epic ionic) χραύω (scrape, graze, wound slightly): pres ind act 1st sg (attic epic ionic) χραύω (scrape, graze, wound slightly): imperf ind mp 2nd sg (homeric ionic)

lookup for χρῶ does not return any results. it should be imperative 2nd person singular in Present System Middle-Passive of Contract Verbs in -άω (with η contraction) table (verbpdgm25 table). again, it could be an error on Mastronarde tables or Morpheus. looking at the endings provided by Vanessa for issue alpheios-project/alpheios-core#69https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_alpheios-2Dproject_inflection-2Dtables_issues_329&d=DwMFaQ&c=Cu5g146wZdoqVuKpTNsYHeFX_rg6kWhlkLF8Eft-wwo&r=2H4UzsQahEdH_c1kLxyGAg&m=YyXki62tKGkINQb4aVpe6T5reVvJTzbWgnJ285AeEdA&s=wbLyK69D2JXRz0F1nxapSjZgJY9MR6LUbEGGBTR9Dj0&e= I could not find a 2nd person singular imperative md the only imperative in her table is active---- χὤρη: (pres imperat act 2nd sg (epic doric)) (pres imperat act 2nd sg (doric ionic aeolic)) (imperf ind act 3rd sg (doric)) (imperf ind act 3rd sg (doric ionic aeolic))
also, ἐχρῶ (imperf 2nd pers sing) goes to the Present System Middle-Passive of Contract Verbs in -άω table and not to Present System Middle-Passive of Contract Verbs in -άω (with η contraction) table. could not find what it should go here though.

lookup for χρῶ does not return any results. it should be imperative 2nd person singular in Present System Middle-Passive of Contract Verbs in -άω (with η contraction) table (verbpdgm25 table).
This is what I am seeing though @monzug
Am I misunderstanding this one?
It looks like it's matching into table 24 not 25, i.e. the same problem as you are reporting for ἐχρῶ but the lookup itself appears to be working.
Maybe taking advantage of the morpheus derivtype field would help us get the right match into table 25 here (Present System Middle-Passive of Contract Verbs in -άω (with η contraction)) ? I looked up several words from table 25 and morpheus includes a parse of the χραύω lemma which has the value av_stem in the derivtype field. I don't see that for the words I've looked up for table 24.
@balmas, χρῶ should be ALSO imperative 2nd person singular in Present System Middle-Passive of Contract Verbs in -άω (with η contraction) table (verbpdgm25 table) but we don't have that match in Morpheos. as per your suggestion, there is a match for most of the verbs in verbpdgm25, so the stemtype works well here. I believe it's more about accurateness of the Mastronarde table versus Morpheus.
ah, so χρῶ is missing the ajw_pr stemtype in morpheus. I see. That's why we aren't getting the match into table 25. I agree we shouldn't complicate and hack the rules if it doesn't make sense :-)
I think that's also true of ἐχρῶ. So maybe the bug here is the missing ajw_pr stem type inflection in morpheus?
I tend to believe that Morpheus is more credible than Mastronarde (based on what I have seen). it could be that there is an other ending in Morpheus for those matches or no matches at all.

I think there are too many variables here to get to 100% reliable matching algorithm based solely on the morpheus stemtype and other characteristics. Morpheus's rules are based upon lexicons and attested forms but of course that data set is not infallible. And I'm realizing that these details can vary within a given word for different forms of that word.
for example, with χρῶ, and within the analysis attributed to the headword χράω2, there are inflections with different stem types - ajw_pr and ew_pr. The ones with ew_pr have an additional dialect, Doric, listed, that the ones with ajw_pr stemtype do not. (The analyses with the ajw_pr stemtype for this headword are the ones which are giving us the match into Present System Active of Contract Verbs in -άω (with η contraction).)
I think at this point, we need to take a step back and think about what we can reasonably do here with the combination of resources that we have at our disposal.
based on Smyth, the bug is in Morpheus. both endings are present in Smyth section 395. see screenshot
Final outcome here: morpheus is missing the following parse for χρῶ : imperative 2nd person singular ajw_pr stemtype
