Definable contrast #15

Would be great if you'd consider adding a contrast variable somewhere that allows for increased contrast while still keeping the essential Solarized formula.

The science and CIELab or whatever aside (I'm sure it's all very impressive) does not help the fact that my eyes struggle, especially with the light theme during the day meaning I end up switching to a higher contrast profile.

I've heard other coders echo this sentiment as well. Still a fantastic project though!

+1 from me.

I am color blind (I am not able to see red light). So the color scheme looks like this for me: colorblind

As you hopefully see, the contrast for blue and violet on light background, and the contrast for red and orange on dark background are very small. Therefore, it is really hard for people with these kinds of anomaly to read this color scheme.

While it is cool to use maths to determine the perfect color scheme, you have to keep in mind that there are people for whom the formulae are different.

The very low contrast is definitely my biggest complaint. The author says "Black text on white from a computer display is akin to reading a book in direct sunlight and tires the eye", which is not true since you can adjust the brightness of your display. Given that most aren't reading at full brightness in the dark, the contrast level could be improved, or certainly higher contrast versions of the theme would be most welcome!
